Solution

(a) The conditions such as the water holding capacity of the soil, amount of rainfall and the type of crop to be sown determines how deep the soil should be ploughed. For example, the soil that has less water holding capacity is ploughed deep to increase its water holding capacity.

(b) The importance of the sickle lies in sharpness of its blade, portability and durability. So, its importance cannot be judged by its size.

(c) Farming tools are made from wood and iron that are more susceptible to the attack of termites and rust respectively, which shorten the life span of these tools. So, farming tools should be stored in dry places to prevent them from termites and rust.
