  1. Solids have a fixed shape and volume. An iron almirah has a fixed shape and volume at room temperature. It has definite boundaries also. This shows it is solid.
  2. Solids are incompressible which means they do not change shape when pressure is applied to them. An iron almirah is rigid and cannot change its shape when pressure is applied. Hence it behaves like a solid
