Given alongside are two figures (A and B) of a certain part of a flower. Study the figures carefully and answer the following questions: b) Are the contents of the pollen sacs in B male or female?

Solution

Pollen sacs are the compartments of anther. These pollen sacs contain microspores which give rise to pollen grains.

Pollen grains are male gametophytes and carry male gametes. Hence, the contents of the pollen sacs in figure B are male gametophytes.
