Solution

In order to be in a logical sequence, the correct order is G 1 phase, S phase, G2 phase, Karyokinesis, Cytokinesis.

  1. There are two phases in the cell cycle: mitotic phase and interphase. The interphase is further subdivided into three phases: G 1 phase, S (synthesis) phase, and G2 phase.
  2. In the G1 phase, RNA, enzymes, proteins, amino acids for histone construction, nucleotide production, and ATP synthesis take place.
  3. The DNA is duplicated during the S phase. During the G2 phase, protein and RNA synthesis is ramped up once more.
  4. Mitotic phase begins when interphase is completed. Mitosis is made up of two steps: karyokinesis, which is the division of the nucleus, and cytokinesis, which is the division of the cytoplasm to generate two daughter cells.
