1. Receptor- Cells, tissues, and organs that can receive a signal or particular stimuli and can initiate a response to that signal (impulse) is called a receptor.

2. Sensory Neuron- It is a type of neuron which receives a signal from the sensory organ or the receptor and then transmit it to the Central Nervous System of the brain.

3. Motor Neuron- It is a neuron that carries the message or the impulse away from the CNS to the specific organ, muscle, or gland.

4-. Association Neuron- Also called interneuron. It is a special type of neuron which pass the signal or an impulse from the sensory neuron to the motor neuron.

5. Effectors- are the muscles, glands, cells, or tissue that act accordingly after receiving a signal or an impulse from the nervous system.
