Solution

  1. The correct logical sequence is G1-phase, S-phase, G2-phase, karyokinesis, cytokinesis.
  2. G1-phase, S-phase and G2-phase are sub-stages of interphase of cell cycle.
  3. Cell cycle refers to the series of activities that a cell goes through from its formation to its division into daughter cells, including growth and division.
  4. The non-dividing preparation phase during which a cell develops to its maximal size and DNA (chromosome material) is synthesized is known as interphase.
  5. G1 phase-The cell is metabolically active and continues to develop without reproducing its DNA throughout this phase.
  6. S phase-During this phase, DNA replication occurs.
  7. G2 phase- As the cell prepares to enter the mitotic phase, it produces the RNA, proteins, and other macromolecules needed for cell organelle expansion, spindle formation, and cell growth during this phase.
  8. The division of nucleus is called as karyokinesis.
  9. The division of cytoplasm is called as cytokinesis.
