1. When electric current is passed through water,oxygen and hydrogen are produced because of the following reactions :

Oxidation at anode : 2 H2O O2 +4H+ +4e-
Reduction at cathode : 2 H++ 2e- H2

2. Electric bulbs have energy stored inside them in the form of chemicals. When electricity is passed through them,the electrons in ignite those energy and the bulb glows converting chemical energy to light energy.
