Introduction to global warming
Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface due to the prolonged and heightened greenhouse effect resulting from an increase in the concentration of the greenhouse gases.

Consequences of global warming
In the last three decades, the temperature of Earth has increased by 0.6C and if it continues the same, it may lead to deleterious changes in the environment such as melting of ice caps causing the increase in the sea level.
