Guru Gobind Singh was born on 22 December 1666 to Guru Tegh Bahadur,
Mata Gujriwas. He was the tenth and last Guru of the SIkh faith. He was a warrior, a poet, a philosopher. He spent his early childhood years in Patna, Bihar. There stands a sacred shrine at the site of his house- Sri Patna Sahib Gurdwara, Bihar. He is known for founding the Sikh warrior community called Khalsa in 1699 and introducing the Five Ks, the five articles of faith that Khalsa Sikhs wear at all times.
