$\frac{5}{6}-\frac{1}{3}$

$\frac{5}{6}$, $\frac{1}{3}$ are unlike fractions.

The LCM of the denominator of the given fractions i.e. L.C.M of 6 and 3 is 6.

$\therefore \frac{5}{6}-\frac{1}{3}=\frac{5\times 1-2\times 1}{6}=\frac{5-2}{6}=\frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2}$
