Solution

C.P of the article = Rs. 5460
Sales tax =8%
C.P including sales tax =5460+8% of 5460
5460+8100×5460
5460+436.8= Rs. 5896.80
Central sales tax =3%
Amount paid in central sales tax =3100×5460= Rs. 163.80
Total amount of the article =5896.80+163.80= Rs. 6060.60= Rs. 6061.
