Solution

The correct options are
A For cavalry purposes
B For transport purposes
D For ceremonial purposes
Horse-trading was brisk in the 13th and 14th centuries. In Kayal, there was an agency established by an Arab chieftain called Malik-ul-Islam Jamal-ud-din. It oversaw the availability of horses to Pandya kings. In their accounts, Marco Polo and Wassaf mention that these horses were used for military as well as ceremonial purposes. Pandyan kings also used horses for the purpose of transport from one place to another.
