They are also called as percussion instrument or drum instrument.
Drum, mridangam, tabla are examples for stretched membrane.
Blow type instruments
Notes are produced by blowing through nozzle at one end and changing the length of air column by selective closing and opening some of holes in blow type instruments.
They are also called as wind instruments.
Blow type instruments are of three types. Flute type organ pipe, reed type organ pipe & brass instrument.
