Dispersed Phase : It is the substance present in small proportions and consist of particles of small colloidal size
Dispersion Medium : It is the medium in which colloidal particles are dispersed
1. Areosol : Liquid in gas ( mist , fog , cloud ) and Solid in gas ( smoke , dust in air )
2. Emulsions : Liquid in liquid type ( paints , warnishes , milk)
3. Hydrosol : If the dispersion medium is water in sol type ( solid in liquid ) then it is called hydrosol
