Solution
(i) Sheela looks after domestic chores. She cooks food, cleans untensils, washes clothes, cleans the house and looks after her children. Since she is engaged in discharging household responsibilities, she is not paid for them. Thus all her activities are non-economic activity.
(ii) On the other hand, Geeta earns an income by selling fish. She buys fish from the landowner's pond and sells it in the nearby market. She manages to earn Rs.20 to 30 a day by selling fish. Thus, she is paid for her work. Her activities are therefore economic activities.
