Question

How are war situations and natural calamities affecting the balance of ecosystem?

Open in App
Solution

Differences and competition over land, water, mineral resources or some economic and political reasons lead to war among human races. Heavy bombing and mine explosions are done in wars. These are not only life threatening but also change or destroy natural ecosystem.

Ecosystem can also change quickly; powerful storms, earth quakes, fire accidents, tsunami etc. can destroy ecosystems very quickly. Thus natural disasters (earthquake, volcano, floods, and droughts) and human interferences result in changes/destruction of ecosystems. Natural ecosystems must be protected as they maintain balance in the biosphere.
