Open in App
Solution

  • There are different types of solutions depending upon the amount of solute that can be dissolved in a solvent to form a solution, i.e..,
  • Unsaturated solution: The solution which contains less amount of solute.
  • Saturated solution: The solution which contains the maximum amount that can be dissolved at a particular temperature.
  • Supersaturated solution: We can make a supersaturated solution by heating the saturated solution and dissolving more amount of solute, resulting in a supersaturated solution and after cooling, crystals of solute will be formed.
  • We can heat a saturated solution to make a saturated solution an unsaturated solution without adding solvent to it.
