Solution
Darwin's theory of evolution:
Charles Darwin gave the theory of evolution of species based on the concept of natural selection.
According to Darwin, with time, species change and thus give rise to new species, sharing a common ancestor.
Natural selection: This concept is based on the thought of ‘survival of fittest'. Darwin's fitness only referred to reproductive fitness.
Darwin believed that since the environmental resources are limited, therefore, only those organisms that can adapt to the changing conditions and reproduce more will tend to maintain the population of their species by leaving more and more offspring than other organisms.
When reproductive isolation whose mechanisms are a collection of the evolutionary process takes place then a new species is formed according to Darwin's theory of evolution from a genetic perspective.
