Open in App
Solution

Any reaction needs some amount of energy to get started. This energy is called as Activation energy. In case of us, there are plenty of metabolic reactions occurring inside our body. To initiate all the reactions, huge amount of activation energy is required. This enzymes lower the activation energy. Enzymes work by binding to reactant molecules and holding them in such a way that the chemical bond-breaking and bond-forming processes take place more readily.
