Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies by industrial and agricultural effluents.

  • Water pollution is caused due to various reasons such as urbanization, dumping of unwanted waste in the water bodies, oil spills, etc.
  • There are some control measures to control water pollution they are as follows,
  1. Do not release waste such as garbage or sewage in water bodies treat them before dumping it can reduce the initial toxicity and can be degraded and rendered harmless by the water body itself.
  2. Reusing, reducing and recycling can reduce the effect of water pollution.
  3. Sweep the fertilizer back into the grass, don't put fertilizer on grass before it rains, or else it will wash into waterways.
  4. Throw away litter in the garbage bin instead of throwing it in the water bodies.
  5. Do not dump industrial waste into water bodies.
  6. There are many more ways to control water pollution.
