Solution

Insulin is composed of two polypeptide chain which is joined together by sulphur bonds by using genetic engineering or recombinant DNA technology, including producing genes from human beings having transferred into E. Coli bacteria which produces insulin which is known as Humulin for clinical use. Eli Lilly and Ranbaxy launch diabetic drugs after obtaining insulin from bacteria. They manufacture 2 chains separately and then joined them together with the help of sulphur bonds.
