  • Trade was one of the main reason for connecting India with the outside world.For this purpose they built huge ships to transport goods.
  • In many southeast Asian countries, small kingdoms were estaiblished by people of Indian Origin. These kingdoms helped to spread Indian culture in South east Asia.
  • As a result, the rulers of Champa (Vietnam) and Kamboja (Kampuchea) encouraged Hinduism. They worshiped Shiva and Vishnu and these reflect in the temple architecture.
  • Dance dramas based on stories from Mahabhrata and Ramayana are still popular in Indonesia.
