Solution

Hormones: They are the chemical messengers secreted by the endocrine glands.

Symptoms of hormonal imbalance include:

  1. Tachycardia i.e. slow heartbeat and bradycardia i.e. rapid heartbeat
  2. Fatigue: Excess progesterone levels can make you sleepy.
  3. Gain in weight: The hormones including leptin and insulin, sex hormones, and growth hormone plays a major role in appetite, metabolism (the rate at which our body burns kilojoules in the form of energy), and body fat distribution.
  4. Mood swings: Estrogen and progesterone are responsible for controlling the serotonin level in the body.
  5. Sweating
  6. Higher blood cholesterol levels
