How do you know if a molecule is polar or nonpolar ?

Solution
The polarity or non-polarity of a molecule can be explained as below:
To determine the molecule whether is polar or non-polar, all covalent bonds which are polar in nature should be represented by pointing arrows toward a more electronegative atom. By varying the lengths of the arrows, the relative polarities can be represented.
By visualizing the arrangement of arrows, if the symmetrical arrangement were seen then the molecule is considered to be non-polar.
However, an asymmetrical arrangement of arrows can be seen in the case of polar molecules.
The below diagram give the examples of polar and non-polar molecules
Therefore, the above points clearly explain the polarity and non-polarity of molecules.
