In a conservative society like that of India women has been considered as inferior to men since ancient times. There is a preconceived notion that certain activities are meant for men only. Such as, women do not possess the technical mind to become a scientist. It is believed that activities like teaching, cooking, nursing etc are meant for women specifically. Such stereotypes about the capability and incapability of women to do certain jobs badly affect the right to equality.

Under such situation, women should fight for their rights of equality and raise voice against gender discrimination and prejudice which project them as inferior in society and restrict their arena of jobs and provide low wages.
