A multicellular organism is made of different cells.
Division of labor means dividing the work among various components of the cell to carry out the activities in an accurate and efficient manner.
Cells have different types of organelles which carry out their specific functions.
There is a division of labor at all levels of the biological organization so that the work can be divided and the body’s activities can be carried out efficiently and accurately. For e.g. endoplasmic reticulum is involved in the formation of proteins and lipids, the Golgi apparatus will modify and pack them, and lysosomes can break down the organic components.
So every organelle in the cell is modified in its structure to carry out a specific function.
