How does a degenerate code differ from an unambiguous one?

DEGENERATE UNAMBIGUOUS
A single amino acid can be coded by more than one codon hence the genetic codon is called degenerate or reductant.Each codon can only code for one amino acid and can not code for more amino acids, therefore, the genetic codon is called unambiguous.
