How does deforestation affect the biodiversity of the forest ecosystem

Solution
Deforestation means cutting down a large amount of trees as well as plants from a forest for other human activities or economic purposes. Deforestation affects the biodiversity in many ways, when a large amount of trees are cut down in a forest, the animals living in that area both carnivores and herbivores loose their source of shelter and food. Some of these animals will succeed in finding a new habitat but some of them will not be able to survive this change in habitat. This might result in the extinction of that species.
When the trees or cut down and the animals migrate to other places, the diversity of that area decreases. When even a small rain forest is cut down, it might result in extinction of a species since all animals have specialized habitats.
