This method is used for the reduction of highly reactive metals.This method is used for reducing the oxides of moderately reactive metals.
The metals obtained by this method are pure and need no further refining.The metals obtained by this method contain some impurities and need to be refined further.
Examples: Copper, Aluminium, etc.Examples: Zinc, Iron, etc.
