The use of chemical fertilizer is one of the important input of the Green Revolution. In fact use of HYV seeds needs a heavy dose of irrigation and fertilizer to give the high yield. Although the use of fertilizer has considerably increased over the years, this increase is more prominent in the areas of Green Revolution. In long run, these chemical fertilizers deteriorate the quality of soil and its fertility. In this way, the Green Revolution affected the soil fertility of our land.
