How does heat transfer take place by convection? Give any example to support your answer.

Convection is the mode of heat transfer in which there is an actual movement of particles from one place to another.
For example, while heating water, the lowermost layer gains heat and rises up. Cold water from the top layer rushes to occupy its place and in this way whole water is heated.
