High blood pressure:

  1. It is also called hypertension, it is a condition in which arterial walls experience a very high force of blood.
  2. Long-term untreated hypertension might cause several health issues including health diseases such as stroke, brain & kidney problems.
  3. High blood pressure is considered a pressure above 140/90 and 180/120 is a severe hypertension condition.
  4. Severe hypertension might sometimes be life-threatening.

Effect of high blood pressure on kidneys:

  1. High blood pressure adversely affects the functioning of the kidneys.
  2. High blood pressure might result in narrowing and constriction of blood vessels.
  3. The constriction of blood vessels results in decreased blood flow.
  4. Impairment of blood vessels of the kidneys results in abnormal functioning of the kidneys.
  5. As a consequence, extra fluid and wastes generated in the body will not get eliminated.
  6. The excess blood pressure in the blood vessels of the kidneys ultimately leads to kidney failure.
