Excretion can be defined as the process of removal or expulsion of waste from the cells of the body of living organisms.
The different organs or parts of the body performing excretion form the excretory system.
Liver:
Liver is a large organ present on the upper right side of the human body.
Bile is the excretory product produced in the liver, it helps in maintaining the chemical levels in the blood and removing the waste away with digestive wastes.
It is the site for protein metabolism, where proteins are broken down to form amino acid which further gets converted into nitrogenous wastes like ammonia, urea, uric acid, etc.
The liver also helps in the conversion of ammonia into less toxic urea that is excreted through urine.
