Effect of temperature on Molarity and Molality
Molarity is the number of moles in solute per unit volume of solution. As the temperature rises, the volume of the solution expands and the volume of the solution increases. When the temperature increases the molarity of the solution will decrease as temperature depends on volume.
Molality is the number of moles of solute per kilogram solvent. Thus in case of molality, the number of moles of solute and solvent are both independent of temperature. So, there is no effect of temperature on molality.
Thus, as the temperature increases molarity decreases while there is no effect of temperature on molality.
