Question

How does the cell of a torch help its bulb to glow?

Open in App
Solution

The cell stores energy in chemical form. The battery has positive and negative electrodes and when the bulb is connected across these terminals current flow starts and chemical energy in battery is converted to electrical energy. This is further converted to light energy by the bulb. The filament inside bulb heats up and glows producing light
