The difference between f(x) and f(2x) is that if f(x) is y when x = x1,f(2x) will be y when x = x12.(f(2x)

at x12 and f(x) at x=x1 are equal).

so f(2x) will attain the same value of y for the half value of x compared to f(x).This means f(x) will shrink

by two times to get f(2x). So option c is correct.
