How does the movement of particles get affected by an increase in temperature?

Solution
The movement among the particle is high when the temperature is higher. As temperature plays a role in increasing the kinetic energy of the molecules (kinetic energy is directly proportional to the temperature).
With the increase in temperature, the vibration of the particles about their mean position increase, which lead to an increase in interparticle space also.
Example: An increase in temperature enhances the rate of diffusion, resulting in hot food odours travelling faster and further than cold food odours.
