Question

How does vaccination help in the development of immunity?

Open in App
Solution

  • Through vaccination dead or living, weakened germs are introduced into our body.
  • Then our body recognises the harmful proteins present in the pathogens and develops antibodies and memory cells.
  • Antibodies fight against the antigen and destroys them. After few years also memory cells help to recognises the antigen.
  • Phagocytic cells like macrophages helps in engulfing the destroyed antigens.
