Solution

In plants like Vallisneria spiralis, both male and female flowers are submerged. Whole male flower breaks a way and float on the surface of water and female flowers raised o the surface by a long spiral stalk. Free floating male flowers get lodged in to female flowers bringing open anthers in contact with their stigma. After pollination, female flowers is withdrawn inside by calling off the stalk.
