Question

How is black body radiation calculated?

Open in App
Solution

Black body is an idealized physical body irrespective of frequency or angle of incidence that can absorb all incident electromagnetic radiation. By using Stefan Boltzmann equation total power of black body radiation is evaluated as :

PA=σT4j/m2s

where, P is radiating power

A is radiating area

σ is Stefan's constant =5.6703×10-8watt/m2K4\

Tis the temperature of the radiator
