$i i .$ From ethane,
Ethyle bromide is obtained by treating with bromine in presence of $A l B r_{3}$
$C_{2} H_{6} + B r_{2} ⟶ C H_{3} C H_{2} B r + H B r$

$i i i .$ From ethene,
Ethyl bromide is obtained by treating with hydrogen bromide. It is an addition reaction.
$C H_{2} = C H_{2} + H B r ⟶ C H_{3} C H_{2} - B r + H B r .$
