How are gases transported in human beings?

Open in App
Solution

Transportation of gases in humans:

  1. Breathing is the process via which air enters the lungs through the nasal cavity.
  2. Gases are exchanged at the alveolar surface of the bronchioles.
  3. Oxygen enters the blood capillaries surrounding the alveoli and is carried by the RBCs to every tissue of the body.
  4. CO2 is taken up at the veins from the tissue making up deoxygenated blood to be expelled out from the body.
