How is the genetic information carried in DNA?

DNA are made of nucleotide sequence. And these sequences of nucleotides make samll regions on DNA, that are called as genes. Genes are sequence specific. And each gene codes for a particular protein and a cell activity.
This DNA gets inherited from one generation to the other.
