How is ventilation increased in humans?

Solution
Ventilation:
Ventilation simply means the entry of outside air to the inside of the body.
One of the most powerful stimulants of breathing is carbon dioxide.
As the partial pressure in the arterial blood of carbon dioxide increases, ventilation increases nearly linearly.
It generally increases by 2-4 liters per minute with each 1 mm of mercury increase in the partial pressure of carbon dioxide.
When carbon dioxide enters the cell it increases the acidity of the body.
