Question

How many bricks measuring 25cm×10cm×8cm can be made from the earth dug out from a cubical pit measuring 2 m in length ?

Open in App
Solution

The measure of the brick is 25m X 10m X 8m .
Hence, its length, breadth & height are 25m , 10m and 8m respectively.
We know volume = length X breadth X height
Volume =(25×10×8)cm3=2000cm3
Now, the length of the cubical pit is 2 m.
We know, 1m=100cm2m=200cm
Again volume of a cube = (length)3
volume of the cubical pit = (200)3cm3
number of bricks can be made =80000002000=4000
