Solution
pBR322:
pBR322 is a plasmid that is widely used in genetic engineering.
It is one of the first and oldest used plasmids, used for cloning
E. Coli.
In the name pBR322, p stands for plasmid, B is Bolivar and R stands for Rodriguez in the name of scientists who synthesized it.
It Contains two antibiotic resistance genes, which function as recognition sites for restriction enzymes, and selectable markers.
pBR322 contains two selectable markers, i.e., tetracycline (tetR) and ampicillin (ampR) antibiotic resistance genes.
The site in the plasmid pbR322 where DNA is inserted into the vector.
Cloning sites present in pBR322 are- BamHI, HindIII, SalI, PvuI, PvuII, PstI, EcoRI, and ClaI
