Question

How many grams of magnesium will have the same number of atoms as 6 grams of carbon?

Open in App
Solution

12 grams of carbon has 6.022×10^23 atoms
So 6 grams will have =3.011×10^23 =(6.022×10^23)/2 atoms.
And
as we know
24 grams of magnesium contain 6.022×10^23 atoms

So 3.011×10^23 atoms has 12 grams of magnesium.
