Chromosomes are a thread like structure which is made up of genetic material (DNA, RNA) and is present in the nucleus of the cell. Chromosomes are present in a pair and both the arms are called as sister chromatids. Each chromosome has two kinetochores, its main role is in equal cell division and in the separation of chromatids through spindle fibers.
