A compound microscope is made up of two biconvex lenses, thefirst of which is the ocular lens, and the second of which is the objective lens.
In compound magnifiers, the term "compound" refers to the microscope having more than one lens.
The ocular lens is the one through which one looks, whereas the objective lens is the one that is closest to the object.
Ocular lens:
On the observer's side, a lens will be placed. For observation, the image enlarged by the objective lens is magnified even further by the ocular lens.
Objective lens:
The objective lens is located at the bottom of the eyepiece tube and is responsible for the specimen's total magnification as well as the microscope's resolving capacity.
