Number of planks $=$ $\frac{volume of the plank}{Volume of one pit}$
$=$ $\frac{20 m \times 6 m \times 80 c m}{5 m \times 25 c m \times 10 c m}$
$=$ $\frac{200 c m \times 600 c m \times 80 c m}{500 c m \times 25 c m \times 10 c m}$ [Since, $1 m = 100 c m$ ]
$=$ $\frac{9600000}{125000}$
$= 768$
Therefore, Number of planks $= 768$
